The significance of being joined to a local church.     When sin entered the world, it separated man from God, but through Jesus, we are reconciled to the Father, and God is near us again. His sacrifice is not only for us to be close to Him but also to have close fellowship with one another. Jesus prayed for all believers that we would be one as He is one with the Father (John 17:22). Through Him, the people of God can find a unity unlike anywhere else in the world. In this session, Andrew Selley explains what it means to be joined to the body of Christ as he looks at church membership – what it is and what it is not. He implores us to leave behind the comfort of individualism and our own life plans and be bound together to His Body for His purposes.
