How understanding the severity of sin and its judgment helps us embrace the goodness of the Gospel.    Too often, we allow the lenses of our culture to influence how we see God, measuring Him by our own societal standards and thereby judging His actions according to our own understanding. In this session, Andrew Selley reminds us that we must embrace God for who He is, fully aligning ourselves with what the Bible says about Him. We are encouraged to consider both the kindness and the sternness of God according to Romans 11:22. He unpacks the severity of God’s judgment of sin by explaining the severe impact sin has on us and on creation. We must accept this sternness for us to recognise the radical kindness of God in sending Jesus to die for our sin. Jesus is the only one who could atone for this sin.
