In todays episode we’re going to talk about breaking the chains of shame.It’s important to break free from the chains of shame because shame makes people believe they are worthless. Shame leaves us feeling as though we have  no value to God or others. Shame also makes people feel flawed, undeserving and not good enough. Shame causes people to fear not being able to measure up or please the people whose love, respect and approval they desire most. Shame causes people to live in fear of being rejected by those they most admire. Shame can also manifest itself through low self esteem and depression.People even feel shame over things that were not their fault nor had any control over. Shame doesn’t just make people feel unqualified, it makes them feel disqualified. For these reasons we must break from from the chains of shame, As Christians, we’re taught how repentance brings forgiveness of sins. Unfortunately, we’re taught much less how to deal with the ongoing effects of shame. In this episode, not only will we look at biblical examples of those that dealt with shame, we’ll also discuss four suggestions that will help you break free from the chains of shame. Thank you for listening.
