In Psalm 51:12, David asked God to restore his joy.Now, more than ever, we need to reclaim our joy. Often, we mistake happiness for joy. True joy isn’t determined by our circumstances or what’s happening around us. It’s rooted in what has already taken place within us.Jesus told His disciples that He gave them a joy that could remain, regardless of what was happening in the world or in their personal lives. Joy doesn’t deny our challenges—it transcends them.Nehemiah faced enemies yet declared, “The joy of the Lord is my strength.” David endured great hardship but still chose joy. I choose joy!And you should choose joy too!This joy that we have—the world didn’t give it, and the world can’t take it away.Thank you for listening.
