What a year we have all had! In light of the recent changes as a result of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, there seems to be uncertainty wherever we turn! During our Carol Service, Paul Jukes shared a message from Luke 1. The writer of the Gospel of Luke outlines his purpose in writing his account, which is so that we, the reader, may know the certainty of the things we have been taught. Paul unpacks 3 questions that appear in Luke chapter 1; 3 questions that many of us are still asking today. Firstly, "how can I be sure of this?" asked by Zechariah. Secondly, the question asked by Mary, "How will this be?" and finally, "why have you come to me?" Jesus answers this final question in John 3:16, "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."
