Gregor Seyffert is a German choreographer and dancer born in 1960, in East Berlin, Germany. He is recognised for his innovative choreography and dynamic performances, blending contemporary dance with elements of theatre and circus arts. Seyffert trained at the Palucca School in Dresden and later joined the prestigious Berlin State Ballet, where he danced leading roles in classical and modern repertoire. He has since established himself as a prominent figure in the German dance scene, founding his own company, Gregor Seyffert & Compagnie, in 1999. Seyffert's choreographic works often explore themes of identity, human relationships, and social issues, earning him critical acclaim and numerous awards. In addition to his creative endeavours, Seyffert is dedicated to dance education, mentoring young dancers and collaborating with schools and universities. He continues to push the boundaries of contemporary dance, captivating audiences with his dynamic and thought-provoking performances.
