Listen ""King David Reflects" + Poem: Matt Beard // Psalm 142, 1 Samual 24 (Sunday 3/30/25)"
Episode Synopsis
"I look for someone to help me, but no one gives me a passing thought! No one will help me; no one cares a bit what happens to me."Have you ever felt like that? If so, you're not alone. These words were written by David in the Bible (Psalm 142). David knows a thing or two about the wilderness, about feeling like an outcast, about being on the run, hiding in caves, and living in fear and anxiety. And yet, in all of that, he discovered a way through, a way toward hope and peace. This Sunday, we'll get to actually hear from David DIRECTLY (through thousands of years of time, by way of a "first-person sermon"). We'll hear him share one of his favorite song lyrics and hear a dramatic story that shaped him forever. If there's anyone able to speak into our own times of wilderness and desert challenges, it's David! Let's see what wisdom he has to share this Sunday...P.S. We also get to hear local artist Matt Beard start things off with a poem he's written entitled "The Zoo"!
