The kind of community begun in Acts was a generous, courageous one, and we want to be a passionate, sold-out, bold family of faith like that; a community that is always leaning outward, on the move, reaching out (like the big Redwood branches around us) with care and purpose to help others.And that’s the heart of God. He’s a sending, giving God; “For God so loved the world that he GAVE His one and only son…” (John 3:16)
We want to go and be "on mission" to reach out together because God’s love for the world compels us! This mission started well before Acts and the first church, it’s been woven into our story from the very beginning. This is where we find the "blessings" (the good stuff of God); it's by sharing it with others, inviting and including, and it's the most fulfilling way to love our neighbors and change the world.
Let's dive in this Sunday as our new summer series kicks off and see what God has for us - together!
