For International Transgender Visibility Day we spoke to queer rights activist Rukshana Kapali about language, visibility and why Nepal’s queer movement needs diverse narratives to move forward. At the young age of 20, Rukshana has sparked some critical conversations around how Nepali media and the Nepali state views transgender people. And we strongly feel Ruskhana should be on all the high achievers' lists of the world!
