Listen "Edge102: The Announcers"
Episode Synopsis
We continue our look back at CFNY / Edge102 this week with three veteran announcers. All of these broadcasters spanned the CFNY Era, the FM 102 Era, the 102.1 the Edge era and the Edge102 Era.
Maie Pauts can still be heard weekdays from 930am to 2pm in Toronto playing a lot of the "CFNY" era music she played back in the day on 97.3 Boom FM.
Visjna was the overnight weekend announcer who actually taught Bob how to operate the radio board. Her voice was the soundtrack to many rides home after hitting up one of the many club gigs around Toronto. She currently is a teacher and owns a restaurant with her husband in Seattle.
Neil "Brother Bill" Morrison had over 15 years at CFNY/Edge102 before heading out west to do afternoon drive at CFOX in Vancouver.
