Episode Synopsis

Meditation and deep breathing are powerful tools to help reduce the negative impact of stress on family caregivers. In this episode, I share some common stress triggers for family caregivers, and ask you to think about your stressors and how your body is responding to them. I cover the definition of meditation and explain the many benefits of calming the mind and body in this way. Episode 5 will feature a guest expert who will further explain the use of these tools and share some simple exercises that can be used almost anywhere to relieve stress and calm the body. Our Bible touchpoint is from Psalm 46:10, where we are encouraged to practice self-care by being still.
