It’s the thirty-first episode of our intimate sit-down with some of Hollywood’s well-known actors and rising stars that just so happen to also be friends with On The List host Brett Gursky. This week’s guest Kyle Ward joins Brett to talk all about his career as a screenwriter, including his latest project “Machete Kills”, which is in theaters now. Kyle tells Brett how he got his start in Hollywood, which began with an assistant job at Dreamworks and later evolved when he sold his first screenplay “Fiasco Heights”. Kyle discusses the other projects he has been attached to, including his original screenplays “Criminal Macabre” & “Arabian Nights” and the video game adaptations for “Devil May Cry”, “Kane & Lynch”, & “Hitman 2”. Kyle explains how director Robert Rodriguez chose him to write “Machete Kills” and what the process was like. He also chats with Brett about the cast, which includes Danny Trejo, Mel Gibson, Demian Bichir, Michelle Rodriguez, Amber Heard, Sofia Vergara, Alexa Vega, Vanessa Hudgens, Charlie Sheen, & Lady Gaga. “Machete Kills” was released in theaters everywhere on October 11th.
