Burn - out is common. There is a high probability that your primary care doctor, your OBGYN and that doctor you saw in the ER hhas burnout. Minority and female physicians have a greater risk of burn-out. This is not only a problem for physicians. Physician burn-out may affect and partially explain the suboptimal care that you may receive.
However burn-out can be addressed. Dr. Tomi Mitchell helps doctors and other persons to engage in self care which she identifies as the first step in resolving burn-out.
