Listen "Local Tea and National Poli-tricks"
Episode Synopsis
Join Brandi Grayson to discuss the challenges and obstacles families face today. Discussions, guests, and interviews will focus on vulnerable populations--specifically Black families. We cover controversial topics, from religion to race and from relationships to policies to legislation. Join the finest hostess with the most-ess Brandi Grayson every week.
Brandi catches up with how she is doing this week and shares the struggles that mothers have when there is little to no support for them to lean on. She and producer Luke discuss the wild weather happening across the southern portion of the country right now and then dives into update surrounding the slew of actions by President Donald Trump at the start of his second term this week.
To wrap the show, Brandi shares an update of her perspective on the efforts surrounding the new charter school in Madison that is allegedly supposed to support black and brown children in the community. Brandi touches on excellent reporting by Madison365 surrounding the motivations of that charter school, and what their proponents could do differently to address some of the concerns from the community.
