North Dakota State returns to the road this weekend as the Bison take on Illinois State Saturday in Normal, Illinois. The Redbirds enter the game with a mark of 2-3, 0-2 in the Missouri Valley after losses to Southern Illinois and Missouri State. ISU did not play last weekend. NDSU is making its third trip to a renovated Hancock Stadium, where they won in 2017 and 2019. These two teams have a long history, including two playoff matchups against one another, the 2015 FCS Championship and the 2019 quarterfinals.
