Listen "What Your One BIPOC Friend Wants You to Know"
Episode Synopsis
In this episode we talk sisterhood between women of color and white women.
Two weeks ago, we discussed the impact and importance of BIPOC-to-BIPOC sisterhood.
Though the voice of this podcast amplifies BIPOC/Mixed Race Unicorns today we are mostly speaking directly to our white co-conspirators about sisterhood. This episode was specifically designed to empower our white sisters and intentionally deepen relationships by having a very clear conversation about race as it pertains to friendship. As stated in this episode, this topic is NOT meant to divide nor shame but to strengthen bonds between white women and BIPOC women so we can become a more fiercely coalesced unit.
We heavily reference the article When White Women Cry: How White Women’s Tears Oppress Women of Color in this episode. This article is a part of our March toolkit. Linked down below. If you haven’t had an opportunity to read it, we strongly encourage you to before listening to the episode. In this episode we will discuss:
