Listen "Sara Villani: The Olympic Experience, Saying Yes to Opportunity and Being a Role Model"

Episode Synopsis

Sara Villani is fresh off of an appearance at the Beijing Winter Olympics where she and her partner placed 12th in the 2-woman bobsleigh event.  She made her IBSF World Cup debut in January 2021 and with pilot Christine de Bruin, she achieved a career-high fourth-place finish. During last year’s World Cup season and the Olympics, she was reunited and paired with driver, Melissa Lotholz.
Before bobsleigh she won the Canadian junior title in the heptathlon in 2015 and went on to finish sixth at that year’s Pan Am Junior Championships. In 2016, she won the OUA title in the pentathlon. In her final year at Western University, she won the silver medal in the shot put at the 2019 USports Championships.
In this episode, Sara chats with host Jamie Allison about her quick rise on the bobsled scene, the Olympic experience, being a role model and setting goals using both intuition and logic.
