The body is bound by the Law, but those who have trusted Christ have died to the Law and are alive in Christ. We now live according to the Spirit. We are without hope if we rely on our ability to live according to the Law. The Law is not evil, and without it, we would not understand sin and the need for Christ. We now live according to the Spirit because Jesus freed us from the Law of sin and death. Those who live according to the Spirit are sons of God. He has predetermined to conform His children to the likeness of Christ. We trust in the Spirit in our weakness. No one can condemn us or separate us from the love of God.
