Jesus came to seek and save what was lost. Salvation results in a changed heart. God’s people are given gifts and talents to be used for the glory of God. Jesus loved the people He came to save. He wept for their refusal to recognize Him as the Messiah, and their impending destruction. Jesus warned the Jews that their blessings would be given to others because of their denial of Him as the Messiah. The scribes, chief priests, and Sadducees continued to condemn Jesus. He warned of people who present themselves as spiritual leaders but use their positions for personal gain. They will receive greater condemnation.
