Send us a textThe Bible witness is that Jesus the Son of Mary is the unique Son of God. This is basic Christian belief. But when did Jesus consciously know his unique identity as the Son of God, the Messiah? There are two events in his life that helps us answer this question and what it means for our salvation. The first event is when he was 12 years old talking in the temple to the religious leaders and teachers of Israel. After a 3 day search his parents found him in the temple. Mary asked him,“Son, why have you treated us so? Behold, your father and I have been searching for you in great distress.”  And he said to them, “Why were you looking for me? Did you not know that I must be in my Father's house?” The second event was at his baptism when he was 30 years of age and he began his ministry.
