As mothers day fast approaches there are many things a mom looks forward to, but this time round I urge listeners to encourage them to a different kind of gift - the gift of health and well being. In this episode we will be discussing some important aspects of women's health with Ms. Mala Mahendroo, PhD who is a  faculty at UT Southwestern Medical Center.  She is a reproductive biologist and her lab has focused on trying to answer the question that are critical to pregnancy and a majorcomplication of pregnancy, which is preterm birth,  focusing specifically on the cervix.
