Tanjiro makes his way to the mountain to meet his trainer with his sister on his back in a makeshift basket. As night falls they encounter a demon inside a temple where it has just killed everyone inside.  Nezuko's powers help them incapacitate the demon while Tanjiro hesitates to kill it. Sakonji Urokodaki has doubts about Tanjiro's candidacy for the Demon Slayer Corps, but allows him to be tested nonetheless. After making his way through an a series of traps Tanjiro returns to find he's been accepted as a student.
