Listen "EP. 74: Differences Between the Prudent & The Simpleton"
Episode Synopsis
In this episode of Beyond Just Christian Podcast, Brenna discusses the clear differences between the prudent from the simpleton. Using Solomon as our example, we see how easy it is to choose our way over God’s way though we know exactly what He commands us to do. Despite how knowledgeable we may be, we are still prone to choosing wrongly because we are still sinful human beings. By the end of this episode, Brenna hopes that listeners will continue applying God’s wisdom to their lives, thus continuing to honor Him as wise people. Self-Reflection Questions:Knowing what the Bible says about the simpleton, how have I fallen into any similar tendencies, patterns, and/or behaviors of one? Write and address how I have turned my heart away from the Lord and rejected personal application of His wisdom. Knowing what the Bible says about the prudent person, how have I demonstrated a prudent-like attitude in my own life? Write and address how I have succeeded with these similar tendencies, patterns, and/or behaviors.Often, we know what we are commanded to do, and we can succeed for a long time before we fall. How can those who are wise and gifted fall into temptations/sinful patterns? Why are we prone to choose our own way although God has already made it clear what is right in His sight? What traits differ from the prudent from the simpleton? Creating your own chart, what are some words/observations you’d use to differentiate the prudent from the simpleton? EX: The Prudent: Considers every available option and prays before acting.
