In this episode, Abel and Yvan from the Beyond Culture crew talk to Elijah Butler and Emmanuel Aigbukor. Elijah is an Algoma University Men’s Basketball Alumni. In his senior year, he was ranked 3rd in rebounds per game and 2nd in Offensive Rebounds (92) in the OUA.⁣ Emmanuel Aigbukor was born in Nigeria and raised in Toronto, Ontario. He’s currently the goalkeeper for Algoma University, where he recorded 74 saves last season putting him #1 in saves in the league.  In this episode, we discuss how the current political and societal climate in the United States is affecting the return of the NBA season, and whether politics should have a place in sports. We also explore how the coronavirus has impacted the sports world and the college athletes whose seasons have been cancelled.
