Join Kosta and his guest, Jennifer Welch: Artistic Director for Cookeville Children’s Theatre.Throughout her ten year as a teacher, director and performer, Jennifer has directed over 30 musicals including: The Wizard of Oz, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Annie, The Sound of Music and most recently The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Jennifer is the recipient of multiple Broadway World Regional awards for Best Director, Best Choreographer, and Best Musical. In 2015, Jennifer was selected for special recognition as one of Tennessee's Outstanding Arts Educators by the Tennessee Governor's School for the Arts, and most recently accepted the Sarah Spencer Child Drama Award on behalf of Cookeville Children’s Theatre at SETC in 2019.Today we’re taking you center stage for a conversation about performing arts, the ins-and-outs of directing a theatrical production and what to do when you don’t get a callback.
