Undoubtedly, we have all experienced awe and wonder upon seeing a new feat of technological development: the first launch into space; submarines diving to the bottom of the ocean; iPhones (you get the point). But what truly makes those experiences inspiring is their seeming effortlessness; like they were birthed into reality as if they were just meant to exist. Now, we all know that isn’t true, but we can’t help feeling a sense of child-like excitement with the magic that comes from seeing a discovery for the first time. So what about the adult-like excitement? What about the rush that comes from understanding that a space shuttle is able to withstand heat of around 3,000°F upon returning to Earth because of over 30,000 exoskeleton-like tiles essentially made of sand? Or that the first navigable submarine was made by covering an egg-shaped wooden frame with leather and adding oars? What about all the little sparks of genius which together are able to bring a concept into reality?  Well that’s where we come in. At Betaversity.com we provide a platform for engineers around the world to post and share projects they are working on as they are working. We’re about grit, perseverance, and the all-around messiness of innovation. Every day we see new projects being posted by college students, professionals, and enthusiasts where we can peer into their minds and see the process of incredibly passionate individuals. This podcast is our way of shining a spotlight on these amazing creators. We want to share their stories first-hand so that you can experience their projects alongside them and understand the struggle and relentless problem solving that went into their creation. So check out our site, listen in, and join our rapidly growing community of world-changers.
