Following Jesus often means stepping out of what feels “safe” or “responsible” and saying yes to His leading. In Matthew 10:16–20, Jesus told His disciples He was sending them out like sheep among wolves—hardly safe! Yet He also called them to be wise as serpents and innocent as doves. Faith is this paradox: living with wisdom while trusting God in risky, Spirit-led obedience.
