Episode Synopsis

-The Unending Battle for Justice
Welcome to today's episode, where we delve into a troubling case of sexual harassment that seems to have no resolution. In 2020, Sergent Victoria McGuinn faced sexual assault while stationed at Fort Benning. Despite her courageous decision to report the abuse to her chain of command, her complaints were initially dismissed. As the assaults persisted, she bravely escalated the issue up the chain of command and attempted to file a Sexual Harassment/Assault Response report. However, her efforts were thwarted as her Battalion Commander intentionally prevented the filing of the report. Despite her relentless pursuit of justice over two and a half years, she faced reprisal in the form of losing her active duty job. Shockingly, the perpetrator of these assaults remains employed by the Army, receiving only a reprimand for his actions. Join us as we explore the complexities of this case and discuss the broader implications it holds.
