This episode features Karin Landgren, Executive Director of the Security Council Report and founding member of the Nordic Women Mediators' Network. She is the eighth woman in the history of the United Nations to head a peace operation and the first woman to have headed three UN peace operations (Liberia, Nepal and Burundi). In this interview, Karin shares her insights on the critical role of women in conflict prevention, reflects on gender bias in UN leadership positions, and discusses the challenges of addressing women's issues in peacemaking initiatives.
