Ashley Feraude in conversation Cathy Hope,  an Associate Professor in Arts & Communication at UC and the person behind play-based activation of major community spaces in Canberra. Cathy is an energetic and colourful academic with ample applied experience in the specialist field of place-based and community-driven installations. Among others, Cathy has led the research, delivery and evolution of the Haig Park project for ACT Government along with a large team. The space has shifted from being an undesirable location to one with plenty of community play infrastructure, that hosts numerous markets and events.
