Listen " Eli Bonilla: Embracing our Mixed Identities "
Episode Synopsis
In anticipation of Hispanic Heritage month, Eli Bonilla, author of Mixed: Embracing Complexity by Uncovering Your God-led Identity, talks about how our identities are always comprised of a combination of things. He shares candidly about being both Mexican and Black, living as an African in descent but Latino in ethnicity, and how he struggled to know who he was or what people group to belong to…until he realized that a mixed background is common to everyone!
This episode for everyone who has ever felt like they’re wearing more than one label. Even if your ethnicity is easy to find listed on a form, your identity is still complex. Our social and cultural experiences also form who we are and mold us into the person we’re becoming.
