Kateri Tekakwitha, the first Native American Saint, was the daughter of a pagan Mohawk chief and a Christian Algonquin mother who shared her faith in God with Kateri. Her life was riddled with hardships: she was orphaned at age four, and the effects of smallpox left her disfigured and partially blind. Deacon Harold shares more about her life and legacy.
