Welcome to Be The Man! Today, Pastor Stacey Harris and Eli Tilley continue through I Corinthians 13, with verse 5 this week, on love being selfless, and not self-seeking. Be mindful of how you show respect to your spouse, and how your spouse is respecting you. Love does NOT insist on its own way. Love is patience and kind, but not boastful, demanding, or selfish. Being selfless is a concept that can take us far with our spouses, in our homes, in ministry, and in life in general. Understanding our job description as the man of the household means to be selfless, and putting your wife and family before yourself. The greatest model we have for this is Jesus Christ, as He gave Himself as a ransom for His Bride, us, His children and people, the Church.
