Hello, marvellous listeners! Today we have a super cool interview with Kehkashan Basu, an incredible 20-year-old child rights activist. Kehkashan is extremely present in the youth advocacy sector – she is the Youth Ambassador for the World Future Council, winner of the 2016 International Childrens Peace Prize, member of KidRights Youngsters, Founder of Green Hope and so much more. Kehkashan’s goal is to empower young people to use their voices to speak up about social and environmental issues. She's the definition of being the change!
Kehkashan and I chat about her journey with change making, and the creation of the Green Hope Foundation. Kehkashan tells us about the book she has written, “The Tree of Hope”, and what she wanted to achieve. We hear about how she overcame the challenges of being a young activist, and get some inspirational advice about continuing the fight for our future. Kehkashan is a passionate changemaker!
