Let the Light In | June 29, 2025Pastor Bria BradshawJohn 8:12 (ESV) Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” Matthew 5:14–16 (ESV) “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” The Problem: We can give off the illusion of light in the way we live, but it is artificial. Genesis 1:1–5 (ESV) In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. And God saw that the light was good. And God separated the light from the darkness. God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, the first day. Genesis 1:14-19 (ESV) And God said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night…” 16 And God made the two great lights—the greater light to rule the day and the lesser light to rule the night—and the stars…19 And there was evening and there was morning, the fourth day. The more Jesus shines in me, the better He shines through me. LET THE LIGHT IN 1. Let the light in to transform.Question: Is there any place within me where God doesn’t have the freedom to shine? 2. Let the light in to reveal the truth.Question: Where in your life are you telling God, “I’m good. I’ve got this part right.”? 3. Let the light in to lead you.Question: Are you done leading you?
