Ted Hui is a Hong Kong politician who was formerly a Legislative Councillor for the Hong Kong Island constituency, and is currently practising as a barrister and solicitor admitted in the Supreme Court of South Australia.
Following his arrest related to a human rights protest, and concerned that his defence of democracy and human rights would lead to persecution by the Chinese government, Hui sought political asylum in the United Kingdom in 2020.
