This verse reveals Daniel's response to God's vision. The response can be characterized as heavy acceptance. After seeing God's message and hearing the interpretation, Daniel is shaken and sick. Despite the difficulty of the prophecy, Daniel secures it in his heart. Sometimes the Word of God challenges us. It can shake us to our core, even making us sick. When you are confronted with difficult passages, do you receive the message in your heart? Do you ignore the Word, reject the Word, or accept It? God has a message for you today. Imitate Daniel and secure the Word in your own heart.
