I heard someone recently say that you can’t attract the type of partner you want until you become the type of person that will attract them. Essentially, when you become the romantic partner you’re capable of becoming, the romantic partner you’re worthy of will appear. I thought it was powerful, and I often think about that with our art. If you try to take short cuts, you’re going to get short cut results. They say it takes several years to create an overnight success. It takes time to discover your voice, and who you’re speaking to.
