Our guest this week is Ron Reed. Ron is one of only 13 athletes to play in the NBA and also Major League Baseball. He played for the Detroit Pistons for 3 years, coming out of Notre Dame, before deciding to focus on baseball. Ron was a starting pitcher for the Atlanta Braves from 1966-1975. After finishing up the 1975 season with the St. Louis Cardinals, he was traded to the Philadelphia Philles. Starting in 1976 and lasting for the duration of his career (1984) he was an outstanding relief pitcher. In his 8 years with the Phillies, he appeared in 6 postseasons.
