Listen "Sound as intimacy"
Episode Synopsis
Though many would argue that The Wisdom of Jay Thunderbolt will go down as Love and Radio’s magnum opus, I would argue otherwise. Thunderbolt, though it is as interesting an eccentric portrait as you’ll encounter in the podcast world, lacked enough of a conventional narrative arc for my emotional reaction to evolve past amused, disgusted curiosity. The Living Room has no such failures. It is a masterpiece, and perhaps not coincidentally one of sound designer Brendan Baker’s more threadbare productions. It is a window in every sense. Wondrous.
