Maintaining the victory in our mind comes from developing a Sermon on the Mount lifestyle, to become a doer of the Word.  The purpose of oneness and greatness in Christ is to become more like our Savior.  We do this out of love, to please and honor our Father in heaven. Jesus has given us the best way to live.  Our sinful thoughts, the temptations of the devil, and the seduction of the world try to keep us from living this life of love and holiness and oneness in Christ. Thus, Jesus in His teachings leads us to the Person and work of the Holy Spirit.  Jesus calls us to live the impossible, so our only comfort and help is the Holy Spirit who was sent to transform us to be like Jesus.
