JESUS IS OUR COMMANDER

Listen "JESUS IS OUR COMMANDER"

Episode Synopsis

We discover in the last words of Jesus we are to be an assembly.  We then learn He is our Commander.  As Head of the Body He commands the apostles to assemble in His midst.   In John we are told by Jesus to love Him and obey His commands.  Jesus now commands them to be an assembly of oneness.  The meaning of this truth is taught throughout the New Testament in the one anothers of the Bible. To command is to order and to give direction, to do what is best in the kingdom of God.  It is God's definition of greatness in this life as opposed to the world's definition of greatness. If we obey Jesus, which is our expression of love for Jesus, we will live a life of greatness.  Too much of the church's lifestyle has been infected by the world.  Instead of serving Jesus, we are serving self.   Jesus is our King.  We are to serve Him in love.  Out of this intimacy will flow the power of the Holy Spirit.  We will sing the new song of our salvation. Thus Acts parallels Revelation and the new song sung in heaven.  The Bible has been preparing us to sing this new song of life in Jesus Christ.
