In Acts 13 Paul uses the authority of Jesus' name and the power of the Holy Spirit to defeat a disciple of Satan, to expose the false demon gods of the ancient world, and to proclaim that Jesus Christ is the true Messiah and His Father the one true God.   Jesus has given this same authority and power to us to use to destroy the works of the Devil and to set people free to live for Jesus and to worship the living God of the Bible.  Just as we heard yesterday in sending help to those in need, God wants us to be His messengers of life to those in bondage to Satan and sin.
