Episode Synopsis

In this episode of Ready to Retail, we had the wonderful pleasure of talking all things Post Pride with Ron Dickman one of our Senior Postal Services Officers at West Perth as well as voluntary roles as the State Lead for both Post Pride and InterRetail in Western Australia. We also had the ability to speak with Alex Zachariah, Acting Head of Convenience for Woolworths, and Proud at Woolworths Group Committee Lead – Partnerships, about Inter Retail and what the program is, the vision for InterRetail and how this plays a part in the broader retail landscape. Alex also breaks it down for us and gives us some valuable insight into the small things we can do, that sometimes make the biggest impact with our teams across the country. In a recent LinkedIn Post, Ron reflects on what it's like to be part of the Post family:“It’s incredibly empowering to work for an organisation that recognises and celebrates its people. At AP we aren’t defined or judged by our gender, sexuality or made to feel like we have to ‘dim our light’. In fact, we are encouraged to shine and embrace our individuality every day. It shows that Post stands by its core values – Trust, Inclusivity, Empowerment and Safety. They don’t just talk the talk. They also strut the strut!” #AusPostLifePostPride is Australia Post Group’s employee network of people who are interested in developing, supporting, or learning more about the Australia Post LGBTI+ community.
