Listen "F1 Movie"
Episode Synopsis
F1 (2025)
This week we review the recently released F1 movie - which is a 2025 American sports drama film, starring Brad Pitt as a racing driver who returns to Formula One (F1) after a 30-year absence to save his former teammate’s underdog team, APXGP, from collapse.
Damson Idris, Kerry Condon, Tobias Menzies, and Javier Bardem also star.
The film was directed by Joseph Kosinski and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer.
This podcast comes with spoiler alerts. And this is a must watch at the movies. If possible at an IMAX theatre.
It’s pure popcorn and an unadulterated flashy American take on F1. But it is great. We were absorbed into this movie - we were in the car with the drivers, our bodies moving at every turn, gasping and grabbing our heads at various points - this was very close to being a fully immersive experience. The technology was developed to make it so. You won't experience this at home - go and watch the movie at the cinema you won't regret it.
There is a bit of cheese as you would expect and the love story is forced. But who cares.
Sit back and enjoy the ride!
