This week we review the 2014 American science fiction action film Edge of Tomorrow directed by Doug Liman. Starring Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt.
The film takes place in a future where most of Europe is occupied by an alien race. Major William Cage (Cruise), a public relations officer with no combat experience, is forced by his superiors to join a landing operation against the aliens, only to find himself experiencing a time loop as he tries to find a way to defeat the invaders.
Bill Paxton and Brendan Gleeson also appear in supporting roles.
If you haven't seen it it will help if you watch before you listen as we deep dive into this one with cast member, actor, producer and director Kick Gurry who plays Griff.
Kick kicks off with Tom Cruise stories and doesn't let up. Story after story after story.
Kick tells us about the time when he was doing a scene with Cruise and how Cruise reacted to him being touched. And then the time Kick pranked Tom Cruise over a $50,000 bet!
He reminisces about Cruise's sixth sense and the wonderful times he had at the bad with the late Bill Paxton.
Oh yea and just that time Tom invited Kick and Bill over to his house to watch a first cut of Edge of Tomorrow. Unbelievable stuff!
