As the guitarist and founding member of the band Free Nationals, Jose has traveled the world on tour as the backing band for Anderson .Paak, and more recently, on the band's own headlining tour across Asia and the US. In addition to playing iconic festivals like Coachella and Glastonbury, he has shared the stage with Bruno Mars, J. Cole, and Dr. Dre, to name a few. His musical contributions include work on the Grammy-nominated album Malibu, the GRAMMY-award-winning album Ventura, and the recently GRAMMY-nominated, self-titled, Free Nationals debut album. Jose joins us from his studio in Los Angeles, CA. Jose talks about what it takes to build a career in music, collaborating with other artists, and the importance of meditation during difficult times.
