Moses writes more about Joseph in Genesis than he does any of the other main characters: Adam, Noah, and the patriarchs Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Joseph’s story is an integral part of our redemptive history. God uses Joseph to highlight that putting your trust in His sovereignty guarantees His promises to you.Through Joseph's story, you find that nothing is too hard for Him to do for you. (Nehemiah 32:17) God is in complete control, and no matter how impossible the situation Joseph finds himself in, the Providence of God is working all the time to secure God’s promises to Him – as well as you.Thus you can rest in the fact, that God is always with you and continually weaving together every detail of life for good who loves Him, even when you do not know how He will bring it all together to fulfill His designed purpose of you being joined to Jesus. (Romans 8:28)
