Listen "Dave Stringer & Madi Das | Music in The Digital Age"
Episode Synopsis
After having their first collaboration nominated for a Grammy in 2015, Dave Stringer and Madi Das are back at work, during a pandemic, while stuck on opposite sides of the world! We talk about their unique new project and the challenges for recording artists of all genres in the age of streaming. We touch on appropriation both in kirtan and in yoga, the neuroscience of singing together and so much more that I had to cut nearly 40 minutes out!One I learned during our chat is how artists have to fund, produce and market their own records now, in addition to doing the creative work.
