He is the founder of the “Healing Through Evan Yako’s Drumming” program, that helps to heal the trauma of school-aged refugees through music. He owns his own recording studio in Fairfield, Sydney, Real Rhythm Studio, where he has produced music for national and international artists, records and teaches music, does community work, and holds dance classes in his studio.
